Fish Topics and Issues
Return to Fish main page
Fish are often considered, perhaps for the easing of our conscience, to be non-sentient. This cannot, however, be assumed. They have a nervous system and pain responses, to mention but two parallels with ourselves and other ‘higher’ creatures.
They have also been shown to exhibit a capacity for memory and communication by
sounds. These pages will address some of the welfare issues around fish
(click on the required link).
