Alternative Veterinary Medicine Centre Holistic Vet - Homeopathic Vet - Acupuncture Vet - Herbal Vet - Natural Vet Location The AVMC rests in the picturesque Vale of White Horse in South Oxfordshire. We are situated right at the confluence of the South East, the South, the South West, the Home Counties and the South Midlands, within the London commuter belt. We are close to the M4 and the M40. We are almost exactly equidistant from London and Bristol. Areas of Natural Beauty around us are The Chilterns, The Cotswolds, The Berkshire Downs and the River Thames. Famous trails are The Ridgeway and The Thames Path. Geologically, we are situated on the Jurassic belt, that stretches from Dorset to Yorkshire, with the Cretaceous chalk hills just a few miles to the South and East of us. The closest towns to us are Didcot, Abingdon, Newbury, Hungerford, Wantage, Faringdon, Witney, Swindon, Henley, Wallingford, Reading, and, of course, the City of Oxford. We are a few minutes from Lambourn. We see animals at the AVMC premises and we regularly visit an area stretching from Wales to London, from Devon to Kent, from South to North Midlands and from Bristol and West Midlands to the Wash and East Anglia. Visits are mainly to see horses but we can also arrange house calls (home visits) for domestic pets. We see many patients from London and visit London homes. We have a page of directions, carefully written to lead visitors from any region.
