N.B.: At the AVMC, we try not to be 'bogged down' by terminology or ideology. Much argument accompanies discussions on nomenclature. We do not mind whether we are called holistic, complementary, alternative or natural. The medicine we practice is the best we can offer, for each patient and it matters not whether it is perceived as holistic medicine, alternative medicine, complementary medicine or complementary and alternative medicine (CAM - CAVM). Although we specialise in alternative therapies, we do not shun conventional therapy, per se, considering its worth in each case. It is noteworthy how much the body can achieve without it, however. The AVMC was the first dedicated holistic vet practice in the UK. Holistic, Alternative, Natural or Complementary? We are also open to either spelling of the words homeopathic / homoeopathic and homeopathy / homoeopathy, the older spellings being more correct linguistically with the newer spellings being more convenient and more 'web friendly'.
